Title: Effect of using Multi-Variable Delay Functions for Unsignalized Intersections on Traffic Assignment Problem.

Supervisor: Prof. H. Z. Ashtiani (Who has introduced Complementarity Traffic Assignmet Algorithm, you can also see http://sharif.ir/~civilinfo/faculty/zokaei.htm)

Summary:

My thesis is in Multi-Variable Traffic Assignment, and it includes C++ programming. In most of the available traffic assignment software, a noteworthy restricting assumption is that, the un-signalized intersection delay is regarded as either constant or as a single-variable function of the traffic volume on entering link. In my thesis, the assumption is relaxed and a method is used to compute the effect of applying multi-variable delay functions, on equilibrium flow pattern in a real city network with nearly 2500 links and 1000 nodes.
