Travels, Friends and Camping

My friends and I travel a lot and go camping very often. In this page you can find related photos to these trips.

Mazichal is a village near Chalous in the northern parts of Iran in Mazandaran province. It is famous for its “ocean of clouds” scenes. The village is in the highlands of northern Iran’s forests.  It is so high that most of times in the year, the clouds are under your feet! Unfortunately, when we traveled there, as you can see, we were in the clouds rather than above them!

Plour is a small village on the road from Tehran to Amol [map]. It is famous for its crystal clear nigh sky. Many amateur astronomers choose this location for star observations. Since it is located in mountains, Plour is very cold most of the times, as obvious from the picture! We went to Plour twice. Here are the photos of the first and the second time.

Lasem is somewhere near Plour [map]. Three of my friends and I drove to Lasem to watch the Perseus meteorite shower.

Laar is a flat land with a very  good weather and is a protected region because of its animal life. Since many rivers pass through this area, a big dam there that provides a big portion of Tehran’s drinking water. Due to its serenity, many of Tehran residents choose this place for weekend camping.

Tochal is one of the many mountain summits in the north of Tehran whose height is about 4,000 meters above the sea level. Since it is covered with a thick layer of snow most of the times, it has a good skiing slope, the highest ski slope indeed.

After four years of heavy studies, we finally got our B.Sc. and this is the celebration of our graduation day, held by in our university. These photos are very nostalgic since they remind all of us the great time we had together.

Together with some of my team-mates, we traveled to England to take part into the international micromouse robotic contest in June 2005. Although it was a very short trip, I have many sweet memories and a hell lot of experience from that trip, especially from our way back home where we had to stay in Dubai international airport near 24 hours! Gole Zard (Yellow Flower) is a cave near Polour (map) and the first cave that I’ve ever been into. It is one of the longest and most difficult caves to explore and as you can see, we were totally unequipped! As a result, we weren't able to go much deep into the cave and after about two hours, we decided to return. However,  these two hours were one the most wonderful times I’ve ever had.

Now that you have seen photos of Polour in Summer and Fall, let’s take a look at it in Winter. Snow covered mountains, shiny blue sky, serenity, freezing coldness and a bunch of great friends made a very wonderful trip. To make the long story it was astonishing!
