Hamid Hosseinianfar

 Short Biography

I received my M.S.c degree in Communication Systems from Sharif  University of Technology, where i was working under supervision of Dr. Saeed Mashhadi. Since september 2012 I work as a member of the Optical Network Research Lab. (ONRL)  under supervision of Prof. Jawad A. Salehi. I also earned my B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran ( August 2009).

 

Research

I am interested in various fundamental problems that arise in communication systems.   Having a strong basis in mathematic and intuition give me a good knowledge about challenges of these systems. My research interests mainly focus on understanding the fundamental limits of such systems as well as the design of new techniques that are suitable for practical implementation. More specifically my research interests include:

• Multiuser detection
• Optical communication systems and Networks
• Cross-layer design and optimization
• Coding and Information Theory
• Signal processing : Compressed Sensing
