Newfoundland, Canada have made a snow-man on the frozen Long pond on the
occasion of "13-be-dar" 1387 (early April 2008).
I was born in August 1982 in Tehran,
Iran.
I just finished my PhD in Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering
in April 2009 in Memorial University, St. John’s, NL, Canada.
I was in Canada for about 3.5
years; travelled to Texas, New York and New Hampshire in the States and inside
Canada to Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax and Quebec City.
Also I participated in the Let’s Talk
Science program to visit schools and talk about science for
the kids, so I travelled to the small towns of Woody Point, Deer Lake, Grand
Falls and Gander inside the Newfoundland Island.
I started my Undergrad
studies in Mechanical Engineering/ Marine
Engineering in Sharif University in Tehran when I was 18 and
finished it in four years. I acquired lots of knowledge and had lots of fun.
Either for scientific or just recreational purposes I travelled with my
classmates twice to Bandar-Abbas, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Abadan, Ghazvin, Semnan and
participated in many other one or two day visits. I have seen the sugar
industry, iron industry, oil industry, … even have even been on-board of a huge
hovercraft vessel during these visits! I have almost no notes of those all, but
everything is so close in my memory, it all passed so fast!
The universities I attended
had obviously a central role in all I experienced during the past 10 years;
therefore, you see the logos of Sharif and Memorial on the top.
Now the plan is to progress
beyond what I have experienced until now!
