This is the homepage of Ali Tehranchi,

Alumni of Sharif University of Technology.  Who is now waiting for pursuing his higher education in a world class University.  Upon his zeal to know about the philosophy of motion and statics, he participated in a number of research projects in field of applied mechanics especially in nano-mechanics.  Fortunately these projects are now in final steps and even some of them are published in refereed journals.  Knowing more and more about mechanics and establishing a high quality scientific journal in Iran is the main goals of Ali at this time. Recently, I admitted to School of Engineering at Brown University for pursuing my PhD studies in mechanics of solids and structures.

Introduction

Born in eastern part of Tehran,  I passed my elementary and guidance school in SHAHID YEGANEH, and SHAHID RASSED schools, respectively.  Both of them were the best ordinary schools in 2nd zone of education in Tehran.  I have entered to ALBORZ high school by participating in a exam among all students in Tehran.  I found myself in a good and historical school with good equipments for studying.  During numerous hours of thinking and studying in the school majestic library,  I found a sincere eagerness to know more about physics in myself.  This zeal forced me to study more and more  for admitting in Sharif University. 

My rank was 280 in national university entrance exam, It should be noted that I did not use any further class or private tutorial.    In Sharif  I received  two BScs one from civil Engineering department and one from petroleum Engineering Department. I have participated in numerous extra-curricular task in Sharif, for example I was editor of the periodic magazine of civil engineering which is publishing by our department. 

My rank in MSc entrance exam was 31 among 10000 test takers.  I have graduated from Sharif University of Tech. with a MSc degree in Structural Engineering but my main concern during MSc was theoretical and applied mechanics. . .
